Students learn foundational singing techniques including posture, breath support, vowel placement, diction, and expression. Students also develop performance skills through a varied repertoire of music in Classical, Folk, and Musical Theater genres. This music is chosen for each individual student based on age and experience. Instruction in basic music theory, aural skills, and sight reading will also be integrated into lessons as appropriate.
Students will learn foundational skills in music literacy and performance with a focus on developing proper technique and artistry. Students will study Faber Piano Adventures, beginning with the most appropriate method books, depending on age and experience. Other repertoire will be supplemented as appropriate. Instruction in basic music theory, aural skills, and sight reading will be integrated into lessons.
All Students are invited to perform in two Studio Recitals per year: in January and June.
