I am so proud of the students who performed in the 2020 Winter Recital! There were 12 students in all, and they did a fabulous job preparing and performing for this wonderful event. We had to add more chairs to the back rows, and our refreshment table was overflowing with goodies for the reception. Thank you all!
The students who performed worked diligently in preparation for this wonderful night of music. I am constantly refreshed by their motivation, hard-work, and passion for developing their craft. If you were able to attend, I am so glad you get to catch a glimpse of what I have the pleasure of witnessing each week during their lessons.
Now that the studio will officially be entering its third year, I have had the pleasure of working with most of these students for some time. I am struck by the privilege of watching them grow. A growth mindset is crucial to the development of skill and artistry. A teachable spirit, coupled with self-discipline and the willingness to push out of our comfort zones propels us forward. It is here that we find the desire to keep improving, refining, polishing. It is here that we grow.
It is with great pleasure and pride that I present these wonderful students. Each one is in a different, but beautiful place in their musical journey. It has been a gift to watch their progress over this year and I look forward with anticipation to more growth ahead. My hope is that, as you celebrate with each of these students, you are refreshed by this community of musicians sharing their gifts with you.
